Samir was the son of Hamid Kabalan Frangieh and Lamia Michel (née Raffoul).
The former Lebanese’s president was Hamid Frangieh was the elder brother of Suleiman Frangieh.
His cousin was Suleiman Frangieh Jr..

Frangieh died in Beirut’s Hotel Dieu Hospital.
