S. H. Kapadia, Indian judge, Died at 68

Sarosh Homi Kapadia was born on September 29, 1947, in Mumbai and died on January 4, 2016.
He was an Indian judge.
He was the thirty-eighth Chief Justice of India
Mr.Kapadia graduated from Government Law College, Mumbai which is the oldest law college in Asia.
Kapadia started his career as a class IV employee.
Sarosh then later became a law clerk in a lawyer’s office in Mumbai.
S. H. Kapadia joined Gagrat & Co., a law firm, as a clerk and later went on to work with Feroze Damania who was a highly respected “firebrand” labour lawyer.
He later joined as an advocate in the Bombay High Court onĀ  September 10, 1974.
He was appointed as an additional judge of the Bombay High Court on October 8, 1991, and on March 23, 1993, he was appointed as a permanent judge.
He became the Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court, On August 5, 2003
On December 18, 2003, he was appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court.
S.H was sworn in as the Chief Justice of India by the then President Pratibha Patil, on May 12, 2010.
S.H retired on September 29, 2012.
Over the time as Chief Justice, he was the Chairman of the General Council of the Gujarat National Law University and the Visitor of the National Law School of India University.
Sarosh was married to Shernaaz and has a son who is a Chartered Accountant and a daughter.
Sarosh also held an interest in economics, public finance, theoretical physics, and Hindu and Buddhist philosophies.
S. H. Kapadia passed away at 68 yrs old.
