Rudolf Sarközi was born on November 11, 1944, and died on March 12, 2016

He was the chairman of the Austrian Romani association Kulturverein.

Rudolf Sarközi was born in the Lackenbach concentration camp in Burgenland, Austria.

Following the liberation of the camp, Rudolf returned with his mother to her home in Burgenland.

He started working at fourteen years old.

During the year 1964, he married Helga, moving with her to her hometown of Vienna.

He then worked in electronics, Sarközi founded the Austrian Romani Cultural Society and achieved legal recognition for the Romani minority in Austria.

Sarközi retired in 1997 to concentrate on his work for the Society.

Rudolf Sarközi passed away at 71 yrs old.
