Rubén Alfonso Ramírez Enríquez

Ruben Alfonso Ramirez Enríquez was born on March 4, 1936, and died on February 11, 2021.

He was a teacher, journalist, musician, writer, politician and presenter of Guatemalan television led the “Healthy Minds” program from 1983 to 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Enriquez had admitted that his interest in education was inspired by his teachers and mother, a teacher; she passed away when he was six years old.

Mr Enriquez graduated as a teacher from Urban Primary Education at the Central Normal School for Men.

Later, he travelled to Venezuela to obtain his Andragogo degree and became a specialist in adult education at the Pedagogical Institute of Caracas.

Besides, he has a specialization in Spanish Linguistics from the Francisco Marroquín University, endorsed by the Royal Spanish Academy.

Rubén Alfonso Ramírez passed away on February 11, 2021, at the age of 84 years old.
