Ronald “Ronnie” Cocks was born on August 1, 1943, and died on May 16, 2017.

He was a Maltese footballer and one-time captain of his nation’s national football team.

He participated mainly for Gżira United and the Sliema Wanderers, and had a short spell with the Pittsburgh Phantoms in 1967.

Cocks then coached several Maltese clubs.

He was Maltese Player of the Year for the 1965/66 season.

Ronnie Cocks passed away at 73 years old.
