Ron Moeser died on April 18, 2017.
He was a Toronto City Councillor for Ward 44 Scarborough East in Toronto, Canada from 1988 to 2017.
He was first elected to what was then the Scarborough City Council in 1988 representing the West Rouge community.
Moeser chaired the waterfront committee in Scarborough and was active in the preservation of the Rouge Valley.
Ron sat on Scarborough City Council for nine years.
After the amalgamation of Scarborough into the new City of Toronto in 1997, he was elected a Toronto City Councillor and became chair of the Scarborough Community Council.
Moeser was defeated in the 2003 municipal election by Gay Cowbourne but returned to office in the 2006 vote when Cowbourne retired, and defeated Diana Hall by 61 votes.
During his last term Moeser served as vice-chair of the Scarborough Community Council.
Ron was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2016.
Ron Moeser passed away at 74 years old.
