Rina Matsuno, Japanese pop singer, Died at 18

Rina Matsuno died on February 9, 2017.

She was Japanese pop singer.

She was a member of a group of Japanese girl idiols, Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku.

The group name was officially shortened to Ebichu (エビ中?), which is a double entendre that can mean “in a shrimp”.

The band was created by 3B Junior, the third section of the talent agency Stardust Promotion.

The band is a “little sister” group to another Stardust Promotion girl group, Momoiro Clover Z.

Rina Matsuno was unable to perform at a concert the day before and was taking medical treatment at home in Tokyo.

During the early morning on February 8 her condition suddenly worsened.

Her parents had called 119, at around 5 AM.

She was taken in the ambulance, but pronounced dead at the hospital.

However, it was presumed that she died from an illness.

During her last post on Instagram on February 6 she said that she had returned from a family trip to Hakone.

Rina Matsuno passed away at 18 years old.
