Riki Sorsa, Finnish singer, Died at 63

Richard Esko “Riki” Sorsa was born on December 26, 1952, and died on May 10, 2016.

He was a Finnish pop singer.

Riki began his career in 1974 as the lead singer in the band The Zoo.

Riki Sorsa represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 1981 with the entry “Reggae OK”, a reggae influenced song in Finnish which came 16th (out of 20 countries).

That song was composed by Jim Pembroke, the lyrics were written by Olli Ojala, and it was conducted by Otto Donner.

He released several albums, singing in Finnish, Swedish, and English.

Riki Sorsa passed away at 63 yrs old due to cancer.
