Richard Dalby was born in 1949 and died on May 4, 2017.

He was an editor and literary researcher.

Daldly’s anthologies in the 1980s and 1990s unearthed rare supernatural tales, many of whose authors’ original collections of stories have been reprinted in the last decade.

Richard has edited over 50 anthologies and collections of ghost stories.

During 1993 he was the founded the Ghost Story Press with David Tibet.

He was the only contributor to the Book and Magazine Collector to remain with the magazine from the first issue in March 1984 until its final issue in 2010, writing over 200 articles for the magazine, in addition to auction reviews.

Daldy specialities were supernatural fiction, 19th century literature, children’s books and illustrators, and detective fiction, especially Arthur Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie.

Richard Dalby passed away at 68 years old.
