Ren Hang, Chinese photographer, Died at 29

Ren Hang was born on March 30, 1987 and died on February 24, 2017.

He was a Chinese photographer.

Over the period of his brief career, he was known mostly for nude photographic portraits of his friends.

Hang works tend to include very graphic sexual acts which led to his arrest several times by PRC authorities.

Hang career was backed by the famed contemporary Chinese artist, Ai Weiwei, who included Hang in his 2013 Netherlands show, “Fuck Off 2 The Sequel”, and curated the photographer’s 2014 exhibition in Paris, France.

He was known to suffer from depression official reports state that he took his own life in Beijing, China.

Ren Hang passed away at 29 years old.
