Rashaan Iman Salaam was born on October 8, 1974, and died on December 5, 2016.

He was an American college and professional football player.

He was a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for four seasons during the 1990s.

He played college football for the University of Colorado and won the 1994 Heisman Trophy.

Rashaan was picked by the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 1995 NFL Draft, and played professionally for the Bears and Cleveland Browns of the NFL.

He was found dead in a park in Boulder, Colorado, where he had played for the University of Colorado. Authorities said his autopsy is pending.
