Ramesh Yeshwant Prabhoo died in December 2016.
He was an Indian politician.
During 1987, Prabhoo was elected as a member of Maharashtra’s legislative assembly as an independent candidate supported by the Shiv Sena, the Shiv Sena not being a registered political party then.
Prabhoo’s election was annulled by a Supreme Court judgment that upheld a lower court order, for election speeches made by his agent and chief of the Shiv Sena – Bal Thackeray that contained degrading remarks about Muslims.
He has been mayor of Mumbai.
He was a medical doctor and held a MBBS degree.
Ramesh Prabhoo passed away at 78 years old.
