Raimundo José Ongaro was born on February 13, 1924̣, and died on August 1, 2016.

Ongaro was secretary general of the General Confederation of Labour of the Argentines (CGTA) between 1968 and 1974.
Because he led Argentina’s largest print workers’ unions, the FGB, since 1966, Ongaro became the dean of Argentine labor leaders.
