She was an Omani politician.
Herself with Lujaina Mohsin Darwish, Riyami was the first Omani woman to be elected to the Consultative Assembly of Oman (Majlis al-Shura) in 2000.
Rahila Al Riyami was re-elected to the Assembly in 2003, and in 2007 was appointed to the Council of State of Oman (Majlis al-Dawla) as a Bureau Member.
Rahila Al Riyami served as the Head of Human Resources Development on the Council.
Rahila Al Riyami passed away in 2017.
