Rachel Owen, British academic and print-maker, Died at 48

Rachel Mary Owen was born in 1968, in Cardiff, Wales and died on December 18, 2016.

She was a British photographer, printmaker and academic expert on medieval Italian literature.

She received a B.A. in Italian and Fine Art (Painting) specialising in Printmaking, 1st Class honours, from University of Exeter.

Owen studied painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Florence.

Owen received a MA by Creative Practice with Merit.

During 2001, he received a PhD from the University of London, where her research was on the illustrations in Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy.

Owen was in a relationship with Thom Yorke of the band Radiohead who she met while they were both students at University of Exeter, for 23 years.

Owen and Yorke had two children, a son Noah, born in 2001, and a daughter Agnes, born in 2004.

Rachel Mary Owen passed away at 48 years old.
