R. G. Jadhav was born on August 24, 1932, and died on May 27, 2016.

He was a Marathi literary critic from Maharashtra, India.

For a few years, R. G. Jadhav served as a professor of Marathi literature, first in a college in Amravati, then in Elphinstone College in Mumbai, and lastly in Milind College in Aurangabad.

After, R. G. Jadhav joined the staff of Marathi Wishwakosh (मराठी विश्वकोश) in Wai, and worked in that institution for two decades.

R. G. Jadhav served as the chairman and chief editor of Wishwakosh, during 2001-02.

He presided over Marathi Sahitya Sammelan at Aurangabad in 2004.

R. G. Jadhav passed away at 83 yrs old.
