Qi Benyu, Chinese politician and propagandist, Died at 85

Qi Benyu was born in 1931, and died in died 2016.
He was a Chinese Communist theorist and propagandist.
Benyu was mostly active during the Cultural Revolution.
He was a member of the ultra-left Cultural Revolution Group, director of the Department of Petitions and deputy director of the Secretary Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
He also acted as Head of the History Department of the communist theory journal Red Flag.
Qi Benyu was arrested, in 1968, stripped of all his positions, and sent to prison.
Qi Benyu passed away at 85 yrs old.
