Prince Mfanasibili was born in 1938 and died on March 15, 2016.

He was the prince of Swaziland.

He was the son of Prince Makhosikhosi.

He was also the brother of King Sobhuza II.

The prince was also a cabinet minister during the reign of Sobhuza II and became a powerful member of the Liqoqo council during the subsequent regency (1983–1986).

Prince Mfanasibili put together the removal of Queen Dzeliwe Shongwe as Regent and saw that the Queen Mother Indlovukazi Ntombi la Tfwala replaced her.

After Prince Makhosetive took the throne, Prince Mfanasibili was convicted of “defeating the ends of justice” in his actions during the regency and sentenced to seven years in prison.

However, Mfanasibili was given a royal pardon.

During the early parts of year 2000s, he revealed to the entire Swazi nation his side of the story on national television.

He had an exclusive interview, after, people in Swaziland are now of the view that he was right in having Dzeliwe removed whilst others mainly those who still support the faction of Prince Gabheni remain skeptical.

He resided with his wife and children in Manzini Swaziland, where he also serves on the city council, and still discharges his duties on behalf of the royal family.

Prince Mfanasibili of Swaziland also still very active in Swazi politics and his articles used to be featured weekly in the Sunday Times newspaper.

Prince Mfanasibili of Swaziland passed away at 77 yrs old.
