Johann Georg, Prince von Hohenzollern was born on July 31, 1932, and died on March 2, 2016.

He was a German prince.

He became a prince because of his marriage to Princess Birgitta of Sweden, who he met in 1959 at a cocktail.

She was the brother-in-law of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.

Prince Johann Georg was Frederick the sixth child.

The Prince resided in Grünwald, Munich and was a fine art expert.

He served as Director General of the Bavarian State Picture Collection from 1992 to 1998 and was also a director of the Hypo-Kunsthalle of the Hypo Cultural Foundation.

Prince Johann Georg serves as a Member of Advisory Board – Europe at Christie’s International plc.

He was a patron of the arts, his 75th birthday was celebrated with a special concert in Munich.
