Philip Amm, cricketer, died at 51

Philip Amm, born April 2, 1964 and died September 10, 2015, he was a South African first class cricketer.

Philip body was found at his home near the Stone Crescent Hotel outside Grahamstown on Thursday afternoon.

It appears that Philip died of natural causes

Police captain Mali Govender told the media News that no foul play was suspected and that an inquest docket had been opened.

Philip had tragically battled alcohol addiction in recent years and had been in and out of rehab.

Former Proteas and EP captain Kepler Wessels remembers Philip fondly as a prolific run-scorer at the height of his powers.

Wessels captained Philip when EP famously won the then cricket Currie Cup in 1989 when they beat Transvaal in the final.
