Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen was born on November 21, 1932, and died on June 27, 2016.

He was a Danish composer.

He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark.

He was the son of the sculptor Jørgen Gudmundsen-Holmgreen.

Pelle studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, with Finn Høffding, Svend Westergaard, Bjørn Hjelmborg, and Vagn Holmboe (instrumentation), graduating in 1958 (Jakobsen 2001).

Gudmundsen-Holmgreen won the Nordic Council Music Prize in 1980 for his Symfoni/Antifoni.

Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen passed away at 83 yrs old.
