Patrick Claude Ekeng was born on March 26, 1990, and died on May 6, 2016.

He was a Cameroonian professional footballer.

Patrick played as a defensive midfielder.

Patrick Ekeng had two international caps for his country’s national team, whom he represented at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

When he started at Canon Yaoundé and spending time on the fringes of France’s Le Mans, Patrick Ekeng had brief spells in Switzerland, Spain and Romania, where he died after collapsing in a match for Dinamo București.

On the day Ekeng died , he came on as a second-half substitute in a televised match against Viitorul Constanța.

Seven minutes after he came on, his team leading 3–2, he collapsed.

The player was transported and resuscitated at the hospital, and within two hours the medical staff confirmed that he had died.

Patrick Ekeng passed away at 26 yrs old.
