Pat Harrington, Jr., American actor, Died at 86

Pat Harrington, Jr., was born on August 13, 1929, in New York City, New York and died on January 6, 2016.

His birth name was Daniel Patrick Harrington, Jr.

He was an American voice, stage, and television actor.

He was popularly known for his role as building superintendent “Schneider” on the CBS sitcom ‘One Day at a Time’.

In 1950, he graduated from Fordham University with a B.A. and subsequently received a master’s degree in political philosophy, also from Fordham.

His father was Pat Harrington, Sr.

Pat’s father was a song and dance man who worked in vaudeville and performed on the Broadway stage.

During the Korean War, he had served as an Intelligence Officer with the United States Air Force, where he achieved the rank of First Lieutenant.

In 1985, after 30 years of marriage, Harrington divorced wife Marjorie Ann Gortner.

Sally Cleaver became his wife in 2001.

He had four children and four grandchildren.
