Oleg Arcadievich Eremeev was born on September 28, 1922, in Petrograd, Soviet Russia, and died on March 16, 2016.

He was a Soviet Russian painter.

Eremeev was most famous for his genre and portrait paintings.

He was a member of the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation.

He was head of the Repin Institute of Arts, serving from 1990 to 2001.

Oleg was also a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists (before 1992 known as the Leningrad Union of Artists), who lived and worked in Saint Petersburg, regarded as one of the representatives of the Leningrad school of painting.
