Dato’ Noriah Kasnon was born on January 2, 1964, and died on May 5, 2016.
She was the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Sungai Besar constituency in Selangor, Malaysia.
Noriah was a member of the United Malay National Organisation (UMNO) party and was a Deputy Minister in the Barisan Nasional government of Najib Tun Razak.
She was elected to Parliament in the 2004 election for the newly created seat of Sungai Besar.
Kasnon has since served as a deputy minister in a range of duties, including Energy, Green Technology and Water, and Women, Family and Community Development.
During May 2013, she was elected Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities.
Noriah Kasnon passed away at 52 yrs old.
