Nicholas Fisk/ David Higginbottom was born on October 14, 1923, and died on May 10, 2016.

He was a British writer of science fiction books, mainly for children.

He was renowned works such as Grinny, You Remember Me, Space Hostages and Trillions.

Fisk also wrote the Starstormers series of novels.

His parents were William, author of Frightfulness in Modern Art (1928), who was an artist and art teacher, and his mother, who was the sister of the Irish actor Micheál Mac Liammóir.

Fisk received his education at Ardingly College, West Sussex.

Nicholas Fisk passed away at 94 yrs old.
