Nicholas Caldwell was born on April 5, 1944, and died on January 5, 2016.

He was an American singer and musician.

Caldwell was theĀ  original member of R&B vocal group The Whispers.

Nicholas helped found The Whispers in Los Angeles, in 1963.

Caldwell composed some of their songs, including “Lady”.

He retired from the group in 1973.

Nicholas Caldwell passed away at 71 yrs old due to congestive heart failure at his home in San Francisco.
