Nelson Xavier was born on August 30, 1941, and died on May 10, 2017.

He was a Brazilian actor.

Xavier appeared in more than 95 films and television shows between 1959 and 2017.

Nelson starred in the 1964 film Os Fuzis, which won the Silver Bear Extraordinary Jury Prize at the 14th Berlin International Film Festival.

During the year 1976 he was the co-director of A Queda along with Ruy Guerra.

Which was entered into the 28th Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Silver Bear – Special Jury Prize.

He died in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais, of a lung disease.

Nelson Xavier passed away at 75 years old.
