Neil Rolde, American historian and politician, Died at 85

Neil Rolde was born on July 25, 1931, in Brookline, Massachusetts, U.S. and died on May 15, 2017.

He was an American historian, author, philanthropist, and politician.

Rolde attended Phillips Academy in Andover.

Rolde earned a BA in English Literature at Yale University and a masters in journalism at Columbia University.

Rolde worked as a film scriptwriter before moving to Maine with his wife of fifty-four years, Carlotta Florsheim, to raise their family.

He died of natural causes at his home in York, Maine.

Neil Rolde passed away at 85 years old.
