Naser al-Raas, Kuwaiti-born Canadian human rights activist, Died at 33

Naser Bader al-Raas was born in 1983, and died on September 20, 2016.

He was a Canadian national.

He was detained by the Bahraini government for attending a pro-democracy protest of the Bahraini uprising.

Those charges were later dropped, and he returned to Canada on February 16, 2012.

He died while in a coma, he was in a coma before a surgery for heart and lung transplant.

He was undergoing medical tests in preparation for the major operation in Toronto when his heart failed, according to Amnesty International Canada.

Naser al-Raas passed away at 33 years old.
