Myron H. Bright was born on March 5, 1919, in Eveleth, Minnesota, and died on December 12, 2016.
He was a federal judge.
Bright joined the U.S. Army Air Force in 1942, rising to the rank of captain by the time of his discharge in 1946.
Bright received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Minnesota, the latter in 1947.
After his graduation, he began practicing in Fargo, North Dakota.
During April 1968, President Lyndon B. Johnson nominated Bright to an open seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit to replace Charles Joseph Vogel.
He served on the court for 48 years, until a few weeks before his death, having assumed senior status in June 1985.
He died in Fargo, North Dakota.
