Michael Martin Burgoyne was born on March 27, 1951, and died on November 24, 2016.

He was a former New Zealand rugby union player.

He was a flanker, he represented North Auckland at a provincial level.

Mike Burgoyne was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, in 1979.

Mike played six matches for the All Blacks including games against Argentina and Italy, but neither was recognized as a full international by the New Zealand Rugby Union.
