Michel Arrivé, French linguist and novelist, Died at 80


Michel Arrivé was born on December 7, 1936, in Neuilly-sur-Seine near Paris and died on April 3, 2017.

He was a French novelist, short story writer, linguist and academic.

He served as the Professor of Linguistics and Semiotics at Paris Nanterre University from 1983 to 2006.

Arrivé authored several novels and short stories.

Arrivé’s father was an engineer and his mother was a schoolteacher.

Arrivé’s father was arrested in 1940, and Arrivé was raised by his extended family during the war

He got married at 19 and had his first child at 20.

Michel Arrivé passed away at 80 years old.
