Meto Jovanovski, Macedonian writer, Died at 88

Meto Jovanovski was born on October 18, 1928, and died on December 23, 2016.

He was a Macedonian writer.

He came from the village of BrajĨino in the Republic of Macedonia.

Meto attended the teacher’s college in Skopje and taught school for a few years before moving into the publishing industry.

Jovanovski’s first short stories were published in 1951, and his first short story collection appeared in 1956.

Jovanovski was a former head of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights of the Republic of Macedonia.

Meto Jovanovski passed away at 88 years old.
