Thomas Frederic (Fred) Rimell was born in 1913 and died on July 13, 1981.

He was a British champion National Hunt racing jockey and trainer.

Rimell was champion jockey three times and leading trainer five times.

He was the first jumping trainer to earn £1 million in prize money for his owners.

He earned himself the title of “Mr Grand National”, training four winners of the spectacular steeplechase.

Mercy Rimell passed away at 98 years old.
