Melania Ursu was born on June 16, 1940, in Sibiu, and died on January 12, 2016.

She was a Romanian actress.

She graduated IATC ILCaragiale “Bucharest in 1961 prof. Dr.Moni Ghelerter.

Ursu played at the Theatre of Targu Mures, from 1977 and 1979

Melania was a professor of acting at the School of Choreography Cluj, from the year 1968 to 1970.

Then, in 1976-1978 she was an associate professor in the department of arts of the actor – Theatre Institute Tg.Mureş.

Melania Ursu continued in the period 1988-1991 as the associate professor in acting classes, stage movement, makeup, singing department at the “Gh. Dima”.

She was an actress of the National Theatre of Cluj and professor at the department of Acting High School of Choreography and Dramatic Art “Octavian Stroia”, taught acting classes at the Faculty of Theatre and TelevisionUniversity of Cluj.

She was awarded the Medal “cultural” CL.I 1967, the Order of “Cultural Merit” cl.IV 1969, the Honorary Diploma at the Republican Festival of art schools and institutes in 1960, the Prize magazine “Theater” in 1970 for his roles in public opinion by Aurel Baranga and A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare and Actress prize for her role in Shakespeare bird of DR Popescu, Festival Theatre, Iasi ed. I 1975.

Melania Ursu passed away at 75 years old.
