Matthew Edward “Matt” Hobden was born on March 27, 1993, Eastbourne and died on January 2, 2016.

He was an English cricketer.

Matt was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast medium bowler.

Hobden was educated at Millfield School and Eastbourne College.

Matt Hobden made his debut in first-class cricket for Cardiff MCCU against Somerset at Taunton Vale Sports Club Ground in 2012, while studying for a degree in Business Economics at the Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Matt had made a second first-class appearance in that season against Warwickshire at Edgbaston.

In the game, he took five wickets with figures of 5/62 in Warwickshire’s first-innings.

He also played Second XI cricket for Sussex, and made his debut for the first team on 1 June 2014, playing 18 first-class matches.

Matt Hobden passed away at 22 yrs old suddenly.
