Marty Beil, American union leader, died at 68

Marty Beil was born on January 23, 1947, in Chicago, IL and died on October 2, 2015.

He was an American union leader.

He attended the Divine Word Missionary Seminary and received a Master’s Degree from Marquette University.

He has also worked for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections as a Probation and Parole Agent.

His parents were Martin and Mary (Turk) Beil.

Beil quickly became active in the union aspiring to president of his local union and a member of its bargaining team.

Marty Beil was elected as the president of the Wisconsin State Employees Union, a position he held until he had the opportunity to become Executive Director of the Wisconsin State Employees Union, AFSCME Council 24.

Marty retired June 30, 2015, he had spent 30 yrs with the Union.

Bell left his wife Sue; 4 children, Natalie (Derrick) Beil, Audra (Mike) Beil, Nick (Stefanie) Beil, Jessica (Nate) Bahr; 3 granddaughters, Trinity Childs, Paige and Scarlette Bahr; a brother, Mike (Sandy) Beil; twin sisters, Monica (Norman) Peterson and Mary Ann Beil, many nieces and nephews, and mother in-law, Marilyn Wigdahl. In addition to his parents, Marty was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Kay Beil and father in-law, Robert Duresky.

Marty Beil passed away at 68 yrs old suddenly at his home.
