Martin Brandtner, American Marine Corps general, Died art 78

Martin L. Brandtner was born on July 3, 1938, in Minneapolis, Minnesota and died on January 3, 2017.

He was a United States Marine Corps lieutenant general

He served as the Director for Operations for the Joint Staff until his retirement on 1 June 1993.

Brandtnermajored in English at the University of Minnesota, were he earned varsity letters on the football and wrestling teams.

When he his graduated in 1960, he was commissioned a second lieutenant via the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Regular Scholarship Program following graduation from the University of Minnesota in June 1960.

He retired to Reno, Nevada and served as Development Director for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Reno.

Brandtner also sat on the Board of Directors for Bishop Manogue High School.

General Brandtner died in Reno, Nevada.

Martin Brandtner passed away at 78 years old.
