Martha Ehlin, Swedish organisation founder, Died at 38

Martha Elisabeth Ehlin was born on August 29, 1977, and died on March 19, 2016.

She was a Swedish teacher and founder of the organisation MOD – Mer organ donation.

Martha had been diagnosed with cancer and was saved by an organ transplantation in which she got five new organs.

Herself and Peter Carstedt founded MOD – Mer organ donation after this incident.

At the 2011 Games an athletic competition for people with transplants she won five gold medals when the competitions were held in Gothenburg.

She became known to the Swedish audience when she hosted an episode of Sommar i P1 at Sveriges Radio on 17 July 2013.

Martha Ehlin was awarded the Årets kämpe (Fighter of the year) at the Svenska hjältar (Swedish heroes) gala which was broadcast on TV4 on December 20, 2013.

Martha Elisabeth Ehlin passed away at 38 yrs old.
