Margaret Mungherera was born on October 25, 1957, and died on February 4, 2017.

She was a senior consultant psychiatrist and medical administrator in Uganda.

Margaret Mungherera served as the president of the World Medical Association from October 2013 until October 2014.

Margaret also served as president of the Uganda Medical Association.

She received an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy from Kampala International University in recognition of her “historical achievements, in November 2012.

During 1977, Mungherera was admitted to Makerere University to study human medicine.

Mungherera graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree.

Margaret Mungherera passed away at 59 years old.
