Mahir Azad died on October 30, 2015, in a private hospital in Gurgaon due to illness.
Mahir was hospitalised for kidney infection and died during treatment that same night.
Pilot in a statement said that his death was a great loss to the party.
“Mahir was a strong pillar of the party.
He worked for the upliftment of all communities, including minorities in his lifetime,” the statement read.
Mahir passed away at age 58 in October 2015.
