Madeleine Lebeau was born on June 10, 1923 in Antony, Hauts-de-Seine, France and died on May 1, 20116.

Her birth name was Marie Madeleine Berthe Lebeau.

She was best known for Casablanca (1942), 8½ (1963) and Gentleman Jim (1942).

In 1941, she made her Hollywood debut in Hold Back the Dawn, which featured Charles Boyer and Olivia de Havilland in the leading roles.

For a few year she appeared in the Errol Flynn movie Gentleman Jim, a biography of Irish-American boxer James J. Corbett.

In her latter years she appear in 20 more films, mainly French, including Une Parisienne (1957), with Brigitte Bardot as the star.

Tullio Pinelli and Marcel Dalio wa her husband.

Madeleine Lebeau died in Estepona, Spain, after breaking her thigh bone.
