Mac Collins

American politician Michael Allen Collins was born on October 15, 1944, in Jackson, Georgia and died on November 20, 2018.

He was a Republican individual from the United States House of Representatives from 1993 to 2005, speaking to Georgia’s eighth congressional area (beforehand Georgia’s third congressional region from 1993 to 2003).

He was an unsuccessful possibility for the United States Senate in 2004.

Collins joined a solid items business pursued by his dad moving on from secondary school, in the long run extending it into a prepared blend solid organization.

He served in the Georgia Army National Guard from 1964 to 1970.

Collins later started a trucking organization that is currently kept running by his children.

He started his political vocation in 1977 when he was chosen to the Butts County Commission.

Collins was promptly chosen executive by his associates and served two terms, surrendering his seat in 1980 when he exchanged his gathering alliance from Democratic to Republican.

In the wake of losing two decisions for Georgia State Senate, Collins was chosen in 1988 from a locale in Henry County south of Atlanta and served two terms there.

Mac Collins passed away at 74 years old.
