Venezuelan professional baseball infielder Luis Adan Valbuena was born on November 30, 1985 and died on December 6, 2018, in Venezuela.
He was primarily a third baseman, he also played second base and first base.
Valbuena grew up in Sucre, a municipality in the Venezuelan state of Zulia.
Valbuena was raised by his single mother named Nelly, who was the leader of the nearby youth baseball alliance.
Valbuena’s more established sibling and a few uncles helped him figure out how to play baseball.
