Lucy Baxley was born on December 21, 1937, and died on October 14, 2016.
She was an American politician.
Lucy served from 2003 to 2007 as the 28th Lieutenant Governor of Alabama. In 2006, she was the unsuccessful Democratic nominee for governor.
And Alabama earlier had a female governor, Lurleen Wallace, and Baxley is the first woman to have held the state’s office of lieutenant governor.
Lucy Baxley passed away at 78 years old.
