Loris Francesco Capovilla was born on October 14, 1915, and died on May 26, 2016.

He was an Italian Roman Catholic prelate and a cardinal.

When he died, he was the oldest Roman Catholic bishop from Italy and the fourth oldest in the world.

When he elevated to the rank of cardinal in 2014, he was the oldest member of the College of Cardinals.

Loris served as the personal secretary to Pope John XXIII from 1958 to 1963.

Capovilla died in Bergamo.
