Les Stoodley died on October 26, 2015 from leukaemia.

He was a Canadian broadcaster.

Les retired from the CBC in 2010 after 21 years with the public broadcaster.

He also wrote the book Tales From The Land wash: Short Stories Of Newfoundland.

Les started his career on private radio in Gander.

He then worked in Nova Scotia, including a stint hosting Reach for the Top in 1963, a CBC quiz show for high school students.

Les passed away at age 75 in Edmundston, with his wife Micheline at his side.
