Léonie Geisendorf, née Kaplan was born on April 8, 1914, and died on March 18, 2016.

She was a Polish-born Swedish architect.

She resided and worked in Stockholm, Sweden most of her life.

Leonie was living in Paris, France, at the time of her death.

Léonie Geisendorf had studied architecture at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich followed by an internship with Le Corbusier, who became a source of inspiration and a mentor.

During 1938, after her internship, Geisendorf relocated to Sweden and was hired by Sven Ivar Lind, KFAI and Paul Hedqvist.

Counting as her first own work is a proposal for a new office building, drawn together with Ralph Erskine and Curt Laudon.

Leonie and her husband, Charles Edouard started their own office, in 1950.

She 100 birthday was in 2014.
