Leone di Lernia was born Leonardo di Lernia in Trani, Italy, on April 18, 1938 and died on February 28, 2017.

He was a radio host, singer, and composer of the genre trash-demented.

Leone di Lernia gained popularity in early nineties, thanks to the cover of parodic goliardic and often scurrilous songs of dance music.

Leone di Lernia has been for almost fifteen years (1999 to 2008 and again, even if partially, from 2011 to 2016) the comic shoulder of the radio program Lo Zoo di 105 on Radio 105 Network.

Leone moved to Milan from Trani, he married Nenna Rosa at young age.

They had four sons: Elena, Savino (called RickyOne), Marco, and Davide. Leone di Lernia lived in the neighborhood of Gratosoglio on the southern outskirts of Milan.

Leone di Lernia passed away at 78 years old.
